Napoli   One of the oldest hotels in Naples, born at the end of 18th century, like the famous painter Christian Wilhelm Allers can witness, as he usually stayed there in 1982, remembering from his book that a good traveller “will not regret to be in a hotel close to the Railway station and to dine in one of the good trattorias of the surroundings”….”for this reason, every time I come to Naples, I always go in one of the Railways Station Hotels, and in particular the Hotel Rebecchino, already Palazzo Romano, that faces Corso Garibaldi, always full of life.     This Hotel is linked with an elegant trattoria, lightened with electrical light in the evening, where I enjoy being seated down in front of glass of wine of the Vesuvio watching through the open door the life of Corso and the come and go of Piazza della Stazione”. Raffaele Viviani, famous Neapolitan writer of the 19th century, quotes it in his “Assunta Spina” recalling the…locand of Rebecchino. CURIOSITY: the name Rebecchino is inspired from Rebecca, musical instrument with Arabian origins that young minstrels of the 300s used to play to entertain the inn’s guests.   MANAGEMENT: run by the GENTILE family who has recently restored the building, providing it with all the comforts. It has 58 rooms equipped with all the comforts for 109 beds. Recently restored , it is at the centre of the main communications means of the city: roads, railways and air transportation. Very close to the new “DIRECTIONAL CENTRE”.   The hotel gives to its selected clients a bar and a wide dining room where a pleasant and delicious buffet breakfast is served in the morning.
