the church of San Giorgio; the New Church was

the religion life before the roman conquer.

“Perugia”
Gathering
of the participants in the meeting place. Morning departure
for Umbria. Stop for free time for lunch. In the afternoon
we will arrive in Perugina, an important medieval town,
which has origins that go back to the Etruscan people.
Guided tour of the historical centre. Check in at the hotel,
dinner and overnight stay
2 day “Assisi,S.Maria degli Angeli
and Gubbio”
Breakfast. Departure for Santa Maria degli Angeli and
stop at the Basilica di Santa Maria, inside of which there
is the Porziuncola, a mystic place where St. Francis founded
its order and died. Next we will head to Assisi to discover
this picturesque small town already inhabited in the 3rd
century AC and strongly linked to the dramaturgic fame of St
Francis. Meeting with tourist guide and visit of the
Basilica of St. Francis, which was built in romanic-gothic
style and it is placed in two levels; inside of it we can
admire the wonderful frescos of Giotto. We will then go to
the Basilica of Santa Chiara, which is in gothic style and
completely made of the pink rose of Subasio, it has an
important rose-window and the Peregrines Oratory , where
frescos of the Umbrian school are preserved. Lunch in a
restaurant. In the afternoon arrival in Gubbio, a city
sculptured in the limestone. Meeting with the tourist guide
and visit to the main monuments: Piazza Quarantina Martiri,
the Loggiato dei Titolari dell’Arte della Lana, Piazza
Grande, the outsides of Palazzo dei Consoli and the
Cathedral. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
stay.
3 day “Spello, Spoleto and Cascate delle Marmore”
Breakfast
and departure to Spello, a nice town where the time seems to
be still. Next we will go to Spoleto, an ancient base of the
papal power; meeting with the tour guide and visit of the
historical centre. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon
we will go and see a show of extraordinary beauty: la
Cascata delle Marmore (the Marmore Waterfalls), which has
three levels of 165 mt and it’s considered the highest in
Italy. Stop at the sources of Clitunno, where the clear
sources gush out of fractures naturally created in the rocks.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Notice: During the winter the visits to the Cascate delle
Marmore and the sources will be replaced by the visit of
Todi.

day “Orvieto-Return”
Breakfast. Morning dedicated to the discovery of “the
jewel of the Etruscan and Medieval art”: Orvieto; panoramic
tour with the tourist guide of the historical centre,
dominated by the Cathedral, that thanks to its precious
mosaics is one of the medieval architecture masterpieces,
and of the Rock, from where you will enjoy a spectacular
view. In the afternoon return to Sorrento. In the evening
final meeting. End of services. |

parts because some museums are closed or for the
New Year’s Eve party organization. The changes
will be communicated at the moment of the
