VENICE:
the Canal Grande has an s overturned shape. It
is the main way of the city. Almost 4 km long
and from 30 to 70 mt large. The sumptuous
palaces that face on it can be admired from the
ferry-boat (line 1).
In the Palazzo Balbi, Napoleon saw the boat race
made in his honour in 1807, nowadays seat of the
region.
The Ponte di Rialto was the only one to connect
the two banks of the Canal Grande until last
century.
TheChurch
San Giacomo di
Rialto is the only survived after
the fire of 1514, and it’s known by the
Venetians with the diminutive San Giacometto.
According to the legend, that wants the building
construction made in the 5th century, it is the
most ancient church of the city. In the heart of
the market it has always been the church of the
merchants.
In the Campo San Polo the killers hired by the
duke Cosimo dè Medici murdered Lorenzo de
Medici, in 1548, also called Lorenzaccio, who
took refuge in Venice after he killed his cousin
Alessandro, duke of Florence.
The name of the sestiere Dorsoduro, one of the
oldest in Venice, derives from the stability of
the ground on which it was built.
BURANO: they were the women who used to paint
the buildings while the men were in the sea:
blue, red, yellow were supposed to allow the
fishermen to recognize their house from far away.
 PADOVA
:
the Caffè Pedrocchi, built looking alike a
classic temple, is a famous spot for the
students and the intellectuals meetings since it
was opened in 1831.
It has the second oldest university in Italy.

1 day “Ravenna e Lido di Jesolo”
 Gathering
of the participants in the meeting place. Morning departure
for Ravenna. In the early afternoon we will visit this town:
where you can admire the Mausoleum of Teodorico, the Church
of St. Apolinnare Nuovo, the Church of St.Vitale, and
Dante’s Tomb. Next we will go to Pomposa, crossing the
Valleys of Comacchio, and we will stop at the Abbey.
Crossing the delta of the Po river, we arrive at the Lido di
Jesolo. Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
2 day “Venice
Breakfast. Departure to Venice. Transfer from
Tronchetto to Piazza San Marco by steamboat. Meeting with
the tour manager and starting of the visit of this romantic
town: Piazza San Marco, the basilica, the Bell Tower, the
Clock Tower and the Ponte dei Sospiri. Lunch at the
restaurant. In the afternoon you will go and see the calli
and the bell towers with the tourist guide, until you arrive
to Ponte Rialto, the shop centre of the town. Free time for
individual visits or to go shopping or for an optional tour
across the canals of Venice by gondola.
Return to Tronchetto by steamboat and to Lido di Jesolo.
Dinner and overnight stay.
3 day “The islands of Laguna”
 Breakfast.
Departure for a tour of the islands of the Laguna by a
panoramic motor ship.
We will skirt the littorals of Pallestrina and the Lido di
Venezia and the many island that characterize the Laguna and
give a charming and romantic aspect to this region. Arrival
at Murano, known all over the world for the glass working
and visit to an real glassworks still active, where the
glassworkers use several techniques to shape the glass
blowing it, showing how they create this objects known and
appreciated all over the world. Lunch at the restaurant.
Next we will go to Burano, an island famous thanks to its
lace working, and for the atmosphere that you can breathe
while you are there: the houses painted with bright colours
and the blue sky that made this island the refugee for many
poets in 800. Nowadays this island is known as one of the
most picturesque of the Laguna. Return to the hotel in the
evening, dinner and overnight stay.

day “Padova-Return”
Breakfast. Morning departure to the Riviera of Brenta,
the panoramic street that runs parallel the homonymous river,
coasted by wonderful villas of the past centuries, designed
by important architects such as Palladio and frescoed by
great artists like Tiepolo. Stop for panoramic for panoramic
view of the villa Pisani and Strà, and Villa Foscarini and
Malcontenta. The journey goes on heading to Padova. In the
afternoon meeting with the tourist guide who will take us
around in the city and to the majestic Basilica of St.
Antonio, attended by the faithful of all over the world. The
Saint’s Tomb is literally surrounded by votes. End of
services.

parts because some museums are closed or for the
New Year’s Eve party organization. The changes
will be communicated at the moment of the
